What Makes VLI Different

WHAT MAKES VLI DIFFERENT?

What makes VLI different? So many things, really, but let's get down to brass tacks (as much as we'd love it, we're sure you don't have all day to sit around and read about VLI).

Most of what distinguishes VLI is driven by our simple goal to provide the best sign language interpreting and CART services available. We have what we like to think is a healthy obsession with quality. Here are some of the ways our obsession manifests itself:   (Click on Link below)

National Certification Guarantee

VLI only hires sign language interpreters and CART writers who have
obtained and who maintain a national certification from the Registry
of Interpreters for the Deaf (RID) and/or the National Association
of the Deaf (NAD) for interpreters, or the National Court Reporters
Association (NCRA) for CART writers. As such, we provide our National
Certification Guarantee to all of our customers so that they can be
assured that they will only receive services from practitioners who have
met the qualifications demanded by their respective professional
  organizations.

There are very few companies in our industry that can claim a 100%
national certification rate (and most that we know of are much
smaller than VLI) and we're frankly not aware of any other company
that provides a guarantee in writing.

Quality Assurance Screenings

This is really just a fancy way of saying that we hire the best
practitioners. In addition to requiring national certification, each
interpreter or CART writer must pass a rigorous quality assurance
screening before he/she can be hired. This allows us to ensure that
each VLI practitioner has the technical skills, experience,
professionalism, and cultural understanding necessary to provide the
  highest-level services.

Innovative Customer Service

We strive to provide a customer service experience that is a worthy
companion to the sign language interpreting and CART services that
our practitioners provide. We are constantly seeking out ways to add
value and convenience for our customers. One of the ways we do this
is through our online account management tool, which we developed
from the ground up and which allows our customers 24-hour access to
make service requests, manage invoicing, and more. We also take
great care in hiring ultra-helpful and friendly customer service
representatives (our online system isn't a very good listener and
  doesn't relay witty anecdotes).

Experience

We hope this doesn't sound like we're too full of ourselves, but
we've been doing this a long time. We get it.

Community Involvement & Cultural Understanding

We are proud to be active participants in the Deaf and Hard of
Hearing community. We seek not only to provide great services,
but to be a partner in advancing the interests of the Deaf and
Hard of Hearing community through our organizational memberships
and our sponsorship activities. We understand the unique cultural
issues related to the Deaf and Hard of Hearing community and the
critical nature those issues play in providing quality services.

People

We've long said that VLI's most distinguishing element is its people.
Our people are our foundation, and our stubborn insistence on hiring
only the best people is what keeps our foundation strong.
